Transition programs

Transitions into Kindergarten and between primary and secondary schools mark very important times in the lives and learning of our students. It is important that these transitions provide opportunities for students and their parents to negotiate major changes in their lives with confidence, knowledge and enthusiasm.

Transition into Kindergarten commences in term three with a school open day followed by a number of school based events during the term. This will include opportunities for pre-school students to engage with the school library, learning technologies, classrooms, peers and staff.

Transitions into secondary schools also involve opportunities for students in year 6 to engage with their respective secondary schools, to access information about the learning opportunities and support services in the schools, and to engage with other students and staff over an extended period.
